The William Shakespeare Chapter was established in January 1986 and was the 51st chapter chartered in Texas. We are a
blend of working women and homemakers and meet in the evenings on the 2nd Wednesday of the month.
Early in our existence, Chapter members raised funds to import 30 different brasses from England which we bring to the Houston area Bazaar each year for attendees to experience making a brass rubbing. We also sell import British Souvenirs for sale at the bazaar.
Highlights from the Chapter's past 25 years include tea with Lynn Redgrave at Mountbatten House, our sales booth at both the Houston International Festival and the Highland Games, and the DBE city wide tea at the home of the British Consulate.
