Sir Malcolm Sargent Chapter was chartered November 1967.
Our fundraisers have varies over the years from church bazaars and bake sales to fashion show luncheons and Luau parties. Our main event now is the Annual Houston British Bazaar where we have made items for the Christmas Boutique - ornaments, wreaths, stockings etc.
Local charities supported by Sir Malcolm Sargent Chapter have been/are Magnificat House, (clothing) Allen Parkway Village (clothing and food), The Bridge (clothing and funds), Interfaith Charities (food bank), Save the Children Fund (Bosnia child Hospital aid) and Bay Area Academy (children with handicaps). Monies have also been donated to the International Seamen's Center at the Port of Houston, Salvation Army, Hope Village, Star of Hope Mission, American Red Cross, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, Alzheimer Association, Texas Equusearch and the Stehlin Foundation.
We invite ladies of British/Commonwealth birth or heritage that live in the Clear Lake, Friendswood, League City, Seabrook, Baybrook Mall area to join us.
