The Austin Chapter of the Daughters of the British Empire in Texas was organized on April 12, 1986. Muriel Underwood, who
signed the original application, is still a member today.
The Chapter is a mixture of working women and retirees and we meet one Saturday a month at 11:30am for business and lunch. Our fundraisers through the years have consisted of English Tea garden parties, game nights and garage sales, to name a few.
