Piccadilly Chapter, the second Chapter to be formed in the State of Texas, held its first organized meeting on October 27th
1949. One of the original members is still with us after 60 years!!! Originally an evening chapter, we now meet on the 2nd
Wednesday of the month at 11am.
The Chapter has always been very active and enthusiastic in supporting all DBE events in the interests of friendship and Public Relations, and has always taken part in any DBE fund raisers in support of Mountbatten House, and local charities, including participation in all the early Garden Parties and Fetes, and then in all the Houston DBE Bazaars.
Local Charities supported over the years include; Houston Seamen's Centre, Palmer Memorial Church, The American Indian Society, Christmas Dinners for Needy Families, The Veterans Administration Hospital, The Butterfly Centre, Family Outreach, Star of Hope Mission, Interfaith Ministry, The Houston Police Search Dogs Fund, Episcopal Church Missions.
