Edith Cavell Chapter is the oldest chapter in Texas, starting in 1948. Many of the current members have ties to the original
ladies who started the DBE in Houston (2nd and 3rd generation).
We are a small chapter of mostly professional women that meets in the Galleria area on the 2nd Saturday of the month.
As with many chapters in Houston, our major fundraiser is the annual fall Bazaar. We run the used book and magazine stall.
We have social activities with a purpose and welcome ladies of British/Commonwealth birth or heritage that live in the Galleria/Central Houston area to join us.
