Ascot Chapter is a dynamic Chapter of women from their mid 20's to their mid 80's with members heralding from England,
Australia, Canada and the United States. Started in the fall of 1994, the Chapter currently has 23 members, 8 of whom have
been with the chapter since the beginning.
We meet monthly in members homes on the 3rd Thursday evening of the month and raise money for charity through English
afternoon teas, silent auctions, garage sales, arts & crafts sales to name a few.
We are visible in the community by providing food and serving tea at a Susan G Komen Survivors Tea Party, volunteering at and
donating money to the Faith in Action Caregivers - Round Rock who help elderly people stay in their own homes, donating to
the Humane Society of Williamson County, donating to and volunteering at the Ride On Center for Kids (ROCK) who provide
therapeutic horseback riding for kids with disabilities and by talking at elementary schools about British Christmas traditions
The chapter takes it's name from a town in Berkshire, England. The town is most famous for one of the world's most famous
race meetings. Royal Ascot is steeped in history dating back to 1711. The royal family attend the meeting, arriving each day in
a horse drawn carriage.
